An Eye For Annai Video, Artsy

annai

Last night after scouring my house for dinner I found a 16oz bag of honey roasted peanuts. After eating half of the contents I feel into a deep sugar induced slumber only to be sparsely awakened by friendly phone calls inquiring why I was asleep at 8pm. Through my haze I could only answer,”I’m like really tired.” I forced myself awake around midnight and watched a movie in hopes of getting a normal nights sleep. This morning I woke up drymouthed with a slight headache and vowed to never again drown my hunger in sweet peanuts.

Here is a pretty rad animated short by Jonathan Klassen and Dan Rodrigues called An Eye For Annai.

“This film was done by me and Dan Rodrigues in our third year at Sheridan College’s Classical Animation Program. Everything is hand drawn and animated. We coloured the animation digitally, and the backgrounds are a mix of traditional and digital. I played the recorder for the soundtrack, and the jazz music near the middle is from Louis Armstrong’s “Jeepers Creepers”. The whole film comes in at just under 5 minutes long, and we’re pretty darn proud of it. Tell your friends.”
